New Tata Sierra SUV Photos Leaked
Tata Motors created a lot of excitement with their line-up at the Auto Expo 2020. They had the HBX Concept, Gravitas Concept, Altroz EV, Hexa Safari Edition and Sierra Concept. It was the Tata Sierra SUV Photos Concept that attracted a lot of people because of nostalgia. As of now, there is no official announcement from Tata Motors whether they will be bringing back the Sierra nameplate or not. However, that did not stop people from imagining what the new generation of Sierra might look like. Here, we have a rendering of the production-spec Sierra.
The render has been done by Praveen C. John and it has been shared on the Vandibhranthanmar Facebook group. We can see that the render is finished in a unique shade of Blue. We have seen a similar shade of Blue on some RS models of Audi. The concept that was shown at the Auto Expo was finished in a white colour just like the original Sierra.
Up-front there are LED headlamps with LED Daytime Running Lamps. There is a honeycomb grille finished in black and in the centre, there is Tata Motors’s badge. Then there is a rugged-looking front bumper. There is a silver faux skid plate and vertical rectangular fog lamps that also use LED elements. The bonnet is sculpted and is flat just like on the SUVs.
The Sierra’s render has a boxy shape, squared and sculpted wheel arches and plastic cladding around the wheel arches and the sides. This gives a SUV look to the render. There are 5-spoke alloy wheels that are finished in matte black. The outside rearview mirrors are also finished in black and have LED turn indicators on them. The A and C pillars are blacked out while the B and D pillars are finished in Blue. The door handles are also coloured in the same Blue shade.
The Tata Sierra Photos Concept was a two-door SUV whereas the render comes with four doors. So, it is more practical than two-door vehicles like Thar. There is a huge glass area all around just like the Sierra Concept and the original Sierra. So, the driver would have plenty of visibility all around and the cabin would not feel claustrophobic for the occupants. The tailgate is flat just like the original Sierra. Having said that, the artist has not rendered the rear and the interior of the SUV.
It is important to note that the rendering is based on the imagination of the artist. Tata Motors has till now not announced any information regarding the launch of the Sierra. Till now, we have only seen the Sierra once at the Auto Expo 2020. There have been no spy shots of test mules or any leaked reports. So, it can happen that the Sierra was just a design study and if Tata wants to launch it in the market then they would have to make a lot of changes.
