2023 Hyundai Creta SX With Digital Meter

Hyundai Creta is still the segment leader when it comes to mid-size SUVs. The manufacturer has now decided to update the 2023 Hyundai Creta SX. The SX variant now comes with a semi-digital instrument cluster which Hyundai calls “Supervision Cluster”. Till now, the supervision cluster was only offered on the top-end SX (O) variant. Here, we have a walkaround video of the updated variant that shows what all has changed.

The video is uploaded on YouTube by The Car Show. We can see the semi-digital instrument cluster in the video. There are no specific changes made for the SX variant. It is exactly the same one as the SX (O) variant. The SX variant still misses out on dual-tone alloy wheels, ventilated front seats,  leather upholstery and auto-dimming interior rearview mirror. It still gets 17-inch alloy wheels that are finished in grey or silver, depending on the engine you opt for.

The SX variant comes with automatic headlamps, rear parking camera, front fog lamps, rear defogger, puddle lamps, driver rearview monitor and blue ambient lighting. You also get an electric parking brake with auto hold function, air purifier, cruise control, push-button to start/stop the engine, automatic climate control and electrically adjustable and auto-folding ORVMs. Moreover, there are LED reading and map lights, glovebox cooling and a low line tyre pressure monitoring system. The rear occupants get a rear armrest with cup holders, rear USB ports for charging mobile devices and rear AC vents.

The infotainment system is the larger 10.25-inch touchscreen unit that gets BlueLink connectivity. It also supports Android Auto and Apple CarPlay. There are also steering mounted audio controls and voice commands. The speaker system is sourced from Arkamys. There is also a wireless charger and OTA map updates for the infotainment system.

For safety, you get rear disc brakes, dual airbags, an Anti-lock braking system with Electronic Brake Distribution, Electronic stability control, Vehicle stability management control, Hill-start assist control, rear camera with sensors, Emergency stop signal, Speed alert system and a burglar alarm.

You can get the SX variant in three engine options. There is a 1.5-litre naturally aspirated petrol engine, 1.4-litre turbocharged petrol engine and a 1.5-litre diesel engine. The naturally aspirated petrol engine produces 115 PS and 144 Nm. It is offered only with an IVT automatic transmission. The turbo petrol engine produces 140 PS and 242 Nm. It comes mated to a 7-speed DCT automatic transmission only. Then there is the diesel engine that puts out 115 PS and 250 Nm. It is offered only with a 6-speed torque converter automatic transmission.

A 6-speed manual gearbox is also available with the naturally aspirated petrol engine and diesel engine if you opt for some other variants. There are three traction modes namely, Snow, Sand and Mud. There are three drive modes on offer too. They are called Eco, Comfort and Sport. Hyundai also offers paddle shifters so that the driver can take manual control of the gearbox.
