Can I Drive Another State Car in My City? Interstate NOC & Tax
Please read the below points carefully regarding state NOC and tax calculation. NOC is used to transfer the car from one state to another by paying a compulsory state tax in your local RTO office.

Every state has its own rules regarding other state registered cars. Though with the One country one border rule expected around the bend, most states allow various other state registered cars to ply. This resistance to other state cars plying has reduced considerably.
Also very soon, a new rule is expected whereby a buyer can just pay a difference in road tax percentage wise and re-register if need. So its advisable to drive an out state registered car with the existing registration and re-register in their own state once this rule comes into effect.
Of course, keeping in mind the fact that the easiest and most economical way to drive a car is by retaining the existing registration of the car. It can later be transferred legally in the buyers name in the same state.
It is registered by means of a LIC policy and registered rental deed which various RTO agents of the state facilitate in a legal bound framework accepted by the RTO.
Working in a diverse country like India where all the RTO’s have a different set of documents and process, we take maximum 60 days (usually it takes 2 weeks) from the date of purchase to transfer the car in that particular state in your name.

NOC for any state in India can be provided once deal is closed. NOC is used to transfer the car from one state to another by paying a compulsory state tax in your local RTO office.
TAX COST:
Please ask your local RTO office or agent for taxes and transfer cost! We CANNOT calculate tax in your state!

FAQ:
– You can get local PB, KL, KA, MH, UP, GJ etc. number plate by paying State Tax after NOC is issued.
– Car number will also change when you change RTO state.
– NOC is valid for 180 days from the issue date.
– State tax is different everywhere, please calculate tax yourself. WE CANNOT CALCULATE TAX AMOUNT
– NOC will be issued only after 200 KM distance from Delhi.
– NOC will be provided after you buy the car and it takes up to 2 weeks to issue from RTO.
– NOC is used to change car’s registration state and it will increase its life validity by 5-10 years by paying state tax.
