New Maruti S-Cross Launch Date Revealed

The next-generation new Maruti Suzuki S-Cross is all-set to make its global debut later this month. According to a report, Suzuki will officially unveil the next-generation Maruti S-Cross on 25th November. The new S-Cross will first make its appearance in Spain before the other markets.

All-new Maruti Suzuki S-Cross unveil date revealed

The all-new S-Cross is based on a new platform and it comes with a number of design changes and updated features as well. The car will come with a new grille up front that will give it a fresh new look. Suzuki is yet to release a teaser image of the S-Cross indicating how different it will look from the current model.

Maruti S-Cross will come with higher fuel efficiency

The new S-Cross will be much more fuel-efficient compared to the current version. That is because of the new hybrid technology. Suzuki is working on stronger hybrids and 2022 will come with one. The current mild-hybrid system only offers torque assist to increase fuel efficiency.

The updated S-Cross will come with a new stronger hybrid system. The new MHEV system from Suzuki is a 48-volt mild-hybrid system that will increase fuel efficiency by a great deal. The 1.5-litre engine will get an update too and it will produce more power.

The current iteration of the 1.5-litre petrol engine produces a maximum power of 105 PS and a peak torque of 138 Nm. It comes with a five-speed manual transmission and a four-speed automatic. There are also rumours of Suzuki using the more powerful 1.4-litre BoosterJet engine that generates a maximum power of 127 Bhp and peak torque of 235 Nm. The same powertrain is already available with the Maruti Suzuki Swift Sport.

There will be an AllGrip AWD system available with the new S-Cross as well but that technology will not make it to India as it increases the price of the car by multiple times.

The next launch is the Celerio

Maruti Suzuki is working on the launch of the all-new Celerio in the Indian market and will unveil the car officially next week. The manufacturer has also started accepting the bookings for the all-new Celerio officially.

The all-new Celerio will utilise the HEARTECT platform that underpins the likes of Baleno, Swift and many other Maruti Suzuki cars in India. The second-generation Celerio is made from grounds-up, which means the design of the all-new car will be different from the current generation of the car.

The new Maruti Suzuki Celerio will deliver around 26 km/l to become the most fuel-efficient hatchback in India as per reports. Currently, the Tata Tiago AMT is the most fuel-efficient car with 23.84 km/l as official ARAI tested efficiency.
